HELLS GATE NATIONAL PARK

Hells gate lies to the south of Lake Naivasha in Kenya ,North west of Nairobi. The park which is mainly comprised of the savannah eco-system harbours a wide variety of wildlife. Some of the frequently observed animal species include Lions ,Leopards and cheetahs. There are over 100 species of birds in the park ,Including vultures ,verreaux’s Eagles ,augur buzzard and swifts.African buffalo ,Zebra eland ,hartebeest, antelope and chanlers mountain reedbuck.Hells gate national park is 68km2 and is located in Naivasha ,Riftvalley province

CLIMATE:Temprature ranges from 20-300c and rainfall from 200-700mm
Two rain seasons :Long rains –March and April
Short rains-November and December

WILDLIFE:Buffaloes,Zebras,Elands,Hartebeest,Thomsons gazelle,giraffe,baboons,serval cat and klipspringer antelops and 103 species of birds
